Department of Anesthesia

The department of anesthesia aims to provide the highest standard of evidence based, patient-centered care across the full range of surgical services provided at Seva We provide anesthesia services to mainly Operation Theatre complexes which cater to major surgeries like Cardiac and Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic, Oncosurgery, ENT, Urosurgery, Gynecology & Obstetrics, Plastic and reconstructive surgery, Bariatric surgery and Abdominal surgeries including Kidney transplants. Besides this there are two dedicated operation theatres for IVF related surgical work. The Anesthetic Department also runs an Acute Pain Service throughout the hospital and provides a 24-hour epidural post-op pain relief service and labour analgesia for pregnant women in the maternity unit.Anesthetic services are also available in the CT and MRI scanners and the GI Endoscopy Unit. The department is equipped with latest gadgets for anesthesia monitoring and modern anesthesia work station for conduct of anesthesia which also includes anesthesia gas monitoring. The department also has a dedicated fibre optic bronchoscope and portable ultrasound machine for peripheral nerve blocks and central line placement.
