Now a days, Cashless hospitalization mechanism is helpful for patients wherein if a patient is treated within a hospital which is on the panel of the insurance company, then an insurance company settles either the part of the claim or the entire claim directly with the hospital. Some insurance company tie up with Seva superspeciality critical care center and those insurance companies offer a cashless facility for claim settlement. Under cashless insurance cover, policy holder can get treatment any time at Seva hospital.
Seva Hospital have tie ups with the insurer of insurance company and offer a unique advantage to patient, as he/she is not required to pay the treatment costs. The insurance provider will be settling bills once all treatment has done. However you will be required to bear the cost of compulsory deductible agreed upon in the insurance policy terms and conditions.
A cashless network hospital works similar to a regular or non-partner hospital for the most part. Policyholders can visit a network hospital and receive medical care without having to make a payment to the hospital. This includes the admission charges, room charges, cost of treatment, doctor/specialist fees and ambulance cost.
The medical bills would be settled against the Sum Assured that was opted for at the time of purchasing the health insurance policy.
All the above would be borne by the insurance company (provided the treatment sought is covered by the policyholder’s insurance policy).
The policyholder merely has to notify the hospital that the treatment would be under the cashless treatment facility and produce identification, such as the policy document or an identity card issued by the insurer.
